This piece is inspired by the incredible array of colours and pearl shine that is found inside a paua shell.

I always love going back to my purely abstract pieces that focus on the simplicity of fractal patterns created with intense, contrasting blends of colour.

They are hugely therapeutic to create which is reflective of the end result - the finished triangles appearing soft and soothing like velvet.
